The new area of Lindholm Harbour already has just about everything you might want. And there’s going to be more. Today you can find cafés, restaurants, and shops, as well as a gym and entertainments at walking distance from where we are building Dockan. Moreover, it is simple to get into town in less than 10 minutes by bus or ferry. Dockan, Lindholm Harbour

Lindholmen is growing and in just the last few years the area has developed with both new homes, workplaces and shops alongside the water. At Skanska Nya Hem we are now planning a dynamic and sustainable neighbourhood with environmentally-friendly apartments just a stone’s throw from the water. Dockan will be located between two stylish brick buildings and will face towards the south-east and a planned park. In total the neighbourhood consists of three separate buildings, one of which will be fully 16 stories high with a wonderful view over Göteborg. We are also including a preschool in one of the buildings, and the shared yard is planned as a green oasis. 

There will be apartments for all needs in our neighbourhood, but the focus will be on space efficiency and functionality. Most apartments will be one and two rooms, but the option is available to choose from homes consisting of 1-4 rooms and kitchen. Our work at Skanska is always based on the idea of making everyday life as convenient as possible for residents. The concept of ”Functional Design” will therefore also be important in this project. The concept has been produced with the greatest attention to simplifying everyday life, making it more sustainable and safe for those who move in. Examples of smart design functions are water-saving taps, multimedia sockets and a reconnectible IT centre in each home. In addition, many of the apartments will have balconies with a fantastic view over the beautiful surroundings and the grand buildings on the other side of the river.

Excellent communications

Lindholmen has excellent communications in all directions. Älvsnabbaren is a free ferry with frequent departures that gets you to the city side of the river in under 10 minutes. As well as this, there is also Älvsnabben which services the Lilla Bommen - Rosenlund - Lindholmspiren - Slottsberget - Eriksberg - Klippan section and back. Moreover, several bus lines are accessible from the Lindholmen stop (a stone’s throw from Chalmers) and onward to both the central parts of Göteborg such as Bäckebol, Torslanda and Frölunda Torg. A new cableway is also planned for completion within a couple of years, just a stone’s throw from Dockan.

A really good location

Most of what you need for your everyday life is also available in your local area, for example, food shops, pharmacy, state-run off-licence, restaurants and cafés. Lindholmen Event och Nöjen is located in close proximity to the neighbourhood and offers great options for lunch. It is also open some evenings. With its fantastic quayside location, Radisson Blue Riverside Hotel offers both breakfast and dinner in the Cuckoo’s Nest restaurant. In the evenings it also has a popular After Work session on the hotel’s roof terrace.

If you like to have a run after work there are also beautiful natural environments with both running tracks and hills at a comfortable distance from home. Keillers Park is located in connection to Ramberget and a few kilometres away is the large Hisingsparken, a popular place for both running and cycling downhill. There are also several sports halls at Lundbystrand and it is the not unusual to see people walking along the quayside and relaxing after work at Norra Älvstranden.
