Small-town life near the big cities

If you enjoy an active lifestyle, socializing with friends and neighbors, spending time outdoors while watching the seasons change, then you will truly like Hjärup. The area is beautifully nestled between the rolling fields of Lundaslätten, which give the town a green backdrop taken straight from a fairy tale. The flat landscape offers views of the yellow rapeseed fields in spring, billowing fields of ripe wheat and barley in late summer and characteristic silhouettes of nearby towns. Hjärup today consists of both a residential area with villas and townhouses and Jakriborg's characteristic multifamily residentials which remind you more of houses in a medieval German town than your run-of-the-mill residential block in Sweden. The quiet streets and green paths in existing neighborhoods offer a multitude of opportunities for kids to play, dog walks, outdoor activities and interactions between friends and neighbors. It almost becomes second nature for kids in the neighborhood to run out and meet up with friends for spontaneous rendezvous.
